The worthy heir of several generations of carpenters, our company was founded in 1957 in Thouars in the Deux-Sèvres department. Today it is closely associated with the restoration of the finest buildings of French heritage. Woodworking excellence is at the heart of our business.

Our know-how, in particular, is certified by the various carpentry and joinery qualifications awarded by Qualibat (2314, 2393, 2313, 4313, 4333, 4352, 4393).
We are anxious to pass on the know-how inherited from the craftsmen of past centuries. To maintain the prestige of French architecture, journeymen and young apprentices are placed in the care of the older craftsmen who teach them their traditional methods passed down from previous generations.
We support all initiatives in favour of heritage preservation (our company is EPV accredited and is part of the Historical Monuments Grouping) so that the monuments will continue to tell their story.
An environmental approach and sustainable development are central to our concerns and are taken into account at each stage of our activity, in particular through the respect of energy standards and the traceability of our supplies.
The wood that we use is PEFC certified to ensure the sustainability of forests.
Our engineering design office is also trained in calculating energy performance and making energy savings (FEEBAT and RGE).
The window profiles patented by Asselin combine their traditional form with the most stringent technical performance: the “portfolio” window offers leaded glass windows the highest possible thermal and acoustic characteristics for double-glazing.
