Asselin played a major role in the construction of the replica of the Hermione, the frigate which took the Marquis de La Fayette to the United States. From 1997 to 2014, from the search for the timber in the forest to the final carpentry adjustments, from the bow to the stern, from the keel to the masts, Asselin produced close to 95% of what is today the largest wooden ship in sailing condition in the world.
